GOP Takes the House, Left Coast Stops Senate take over

Dr. Krauthammer probably best captured the essence of what the next two years will look like.  Much of the next  Congress will revolve around two questions: how much of the Obama agenda will be repealed, and two, how much will Obama concede?

Let me state up front: I believe almost nothing that comes out of The One’s mouth.  He may say he will sing a new tune.  What he says is irrelevant.

The only way to judge The One is by what he does.  Will he agree to a repeal of ObamaCare?  Will he do anything other than bailouts and excessive spending?  Will he stop actively destroying the U.S. dollar and adding to the debt and deficit?

My guess is no.

I was disappointed by the apparent holds in California and Washington state by Boxer and Murray, although the left coast does march to a different drummer.  A colleague of mine insists that the WA state race is still not over, and that Rossi could still win.

It is nice to see that the President’s old Senate seat in IL is gone, and that the GOP won in PA, WI and FL.

On the House races, I’m very pleased Pomeroy (D-ND) lost, so did some important House Dems like Boucher in VA.

Most importantly, the key leader of the Jonestown Kool-Aid brigade — the Speaker — will likely resign.  Obviously, she should.  She authoritatively ruled over the political death of about a quarter of all Dems in her caucus — 23.5% — and with more possible.

As of now, there are about eleven House races still too close to call, and the GOP has leads in five.

I am intrigued about where my algorithm went wrong.  Once the dust settles on all the races, I will take a look at the data and the algorithm.  I relied very heavily on Gallup’s data.  I suspect it was off by a wide margin.

All in all, the GOP crushed the Dems in key states and key races.

The election has ended the free-reign of The One.

With the exception of Reid, Boxer and Murray — Democrats who ran in support of Obama’s agenda lost their re-election.  The apparent loss in Colorado is also disappointing.

Most observers believe that Manchin won in West Virginia because of his ad that shows him chamber a round in a rifle while he talks about his NRA endorsement, and then he takes aim and then he shots a hole in the cap and trade bill that is nailed to a tree.  He also reversed himself and said he would not have voted for ObamaCare.

More than anything, the Dems that won open seats, like Manchin, will be very wary of trusting Obama’s politics or any big signature item he wants to pass.  The new Dems who survived the wave, will likely run screaming from the room at the prospect of supporting any big Obama objective.  In fact, these new Dem members will likely be looking for a place they can oppose The One in as high a profile manner as possible.ObamaCare and cap and trade are the reasons most House Dems lost — but plain and simple — Americans could not stand the Speaker and wanted her gone. Finally, the country will not be further subjected to her delusional political leadership.  And I for one am very thankful.
