The HSA Coalition Gives Out it’s First Great American Award
The HSA Coalition has decided to give out it’s first Great American Award.
While members of the Coalition were considered for this award, the criteria for winning this $1,000 cash prize is to achieve a legislative victory (trying does not count) — and in doing so, show great perseverance, foresight (being the first to identify the threat or opportunity) and to achieve victory by clear leadership to marshal the forces necessary by creative strategic planning, publishing blogs or papers, leading in meetings on Capitol Hill and by speaking out on the radio, on television and otherwise be quoted in the print media.
Senators, Representatives and staff are not eligible for this award — which makes this award highly unusual in Washington, D.C.
In short, leadership, foresight, perseverance, courage and the ability to write and speak clearly are the criteria for this award — and are skills that are used to achieve a legislative victory.
Therefore, this prize goes to Mr. Brian Darling, who is a Great American, for his leadership in victory over the Dem attempts to gut the filibuster early this year.
Mr. Darling did a great service to the nation and the Constitution, and is recognized publicly and with honor for his vital and essential role. He is one of the true MVPs on our side.
