President Obama’s Approval Rating Drops to 31 Percent — 54% of Americans Want Congress to do Nothing on Health Care this YearAugust 18, 2009
Thirty-one percent of Americans strongly approve of President Obama’s Presidency, and 40% strongly disapprove.
These are “likely voters,” not “adults.”
The graph is instructive. When President Obama backed away from the Public Option in health care his disapproval rating shrank. He is now being too cute by saying his position has not changed, so it will likely go back up.
Finally, it is interesting to note that a majority (54% of Americans) want Congress to do nothing on health care this year.
