Obama: You can keep your plan if you like it — unless you want an HSA
President Obama knows perfectly well that the Minimum Loss Ratio and the Actuarial Value regulation will eliminate Health Savings Account qualified health plans from the individual and small group insurance markets; yet he persists in saying — like he did after the Supreme Court ruling — that “if you like your plan you can keep it.”
There will be no HSAs for these Americans, and no bronze plans. The health insurance will simply not be available because HSA qualified plans are subjected to a discriminatory rule which is rigged against HSAs.
The rules deliberately discriminate against HSAs, and Justice Roberts did nothing about it, except torque his decision into “the mandate is a tax” just so he could do nothing about it.
