Is Dr. Fauci is Running the WH Task Force because Everyone Else is in Agreement with Him, or Too Weak to Win Against Him?
The only scientifically proven method of stopping the pandemic is via herd immunity — meaning that somewhere between 60% to 70% of the population of the United States is infected, or receives a vaccine.
It is the policy of the White House Coronavirus Task Force to gain herd immunity via a vaccine, and to keep the country isolated, out-of-school and hunkered down in their homes until a vaccine is available.
According to Dr. Fauci the soonest he expects a vaccine is the summer of 2021.
But the reality is, the summer of 2021 may be an optimistic timeline for a vaccine that is available and administered to 320 million people.
Likely, there may be a vaccine, but not available to everyone and a decision will be made to prioritize medical personnel, first responders, and those in key positions in government.
So, when the White House Coronavirus Task Force says a vaccine will be available in the summer of 2021, it means that they expect Americans to hunker down, wear masks, social distance until the vaccine is administered, which might be summer of 2021, but very well could be later.
The President may talk about re-opening but Dr. Fauci is constantly and publicly pushing back, warning of re-opening or predicting schools will remain closed in the fall.
How can anyone get back to work if every day is a snow day, and if my children aren’t safe at school, how will I be safe at work?
Or at a movie?
Or be safe going shopping or attending my children’s soccer game?
This is why Dr. Fauci said that going to school in the fall is “a bridge too far” — he opposes re-opening, and he keeps saying it.
The President does not stop Dr. Fauci.
Vice President Pence does not stop Fauci, neither does Dr. Birx.
No one on the White House Task Force stops Dr. Fauci.
Further, the White House Coronavirus Task Force has decided to suppress any information about the number of Americans with antibodies and how that impacts the mortality rate — information which would substantially lower the threat perception of the virus — exactly the opposite of what Dr. Fauci has been doing.
It is also the policy of the White House Coronavirus Task Force to dismiss or undermine any policy that would allow a herd immunity to develop unless it is herd immunity by a vaccine. And opening the schools is the easiest way to have the least vulnerable gain antibodies and move the population towards herd immunity.
Why is Dr. Fauci setting policy and why isn’t anyone pushing back?
You wonder why the other voices on the White House Coronavirus Task Force are so weak.
It is likely because Vice President Pence is in agreement with Dr. Fauci.
The only reasonable explanation is that Vice President Pence believes that mitigation should continue at all costs, and nothing should hurt that strategy, especially any discussion of the lower mortality rate that comes with counting the asymptomatic or mild cases — those with antibodies that were not hospitalized.
The White House Coronavirus Task Force continues to willfully ignore that data, to the great detriment of the country, herd immunity, and to the economy.
As far as I can tell, there is not a single person in the White House Coronavirus Task Force arguing for herd immunity to develop without a vaccine.
There is not a single person arguing that the antibody test results should be showcased, and the lower mortality rate trumpeted (so to speak) as a reason that people should return to their regularly scheduled lives.
The risks of permanent economic damage to the country are rampant because not counting the asymptomatic or mildly ill that were infected and did not go to the hospital gives the false and alarming impression of a far higher mortality rate than is accurate.
The political risk to Trump of ignoring this data, and the White House Coronavirus suppressing and dismissing it, is massive.
All the White House Coronavirus Task Force is doing, is pushing mitigation strategies.
Mitigation is not stopping the spread of the virus nor will it, as predicted two months ago by the prestigious medical journal The Lancet.
This is further proven by the fact that a recent study showed two-thirds of those hospitalized with the Wuhan virus in New York City were at home, self-quarantining, which did not prevent them from being infected.
The New York Times reports that cell phone data showed that last week the number that stayed home was 36% — meaning that nearly two-thirds of Americans were not obeying the stay-at-home, ‘slow the spread’ message. This week, the number of Americans staying at home will be less than a third, meaning likely near 70% are not obeying the ‘slow the spread’ mantra.
How long will it take for Fauci and Birx to admit mitigation FAIL?
Apparently, the Task Force also missed the message about their attempt to change the laws of nature during a pandemic, when multiple people near the key players of the task force became infected. And it won’t be the last time.
The arrogance of man on this point is massive.
The virus is at LMAO.
Clearly, Dr. Fauci believes he can defy the laws of nature, defy the law of the survival of the fittest or keep a virus with an R0 (pronounced R naught) value of 5.7 contained — notwithstanding the fact that the virus is spreading during lock-down.
And the media and Fauci will ignore this spread during lock-down and constantly talk about the dangers of re-opening too soon.
The simple reality is that the virus is spreading now, and can’t be stopped by mitigation, as the Lancet study predicted.
Or perhaps the suppression of the antibody evidence of millions who have been infected and have antibodies it’s best explained by Occam’s razor.
Dr. Fauci does not share or trumpet the news of the lower mortality rate to encourage people to go back to their pre-virus lives, and therefore, he does not have to feel responsible for those who become infected as a result.
It does not matter that they will become infected anyway, only at a slower rate, during the Fauci-Birx lockdown.
But, Dr. Fauci believes this is the right call, not to encourage a return to normal life, because he will feel guilty about deaths that will occur, notwithstanding they will occur regardless, just at a slower pace.
Mitigation or not, the virus spread continues.
It will continue to spread regardless of the economic devastation or the election of Joe Biden.
Or who is infected at the White House — it will spread regardless.
And while mitigation can slow the transmission, it won’t stop it and the deaths — infections will and shall continue, as Dr. Osterholm says, until 60% to 70% of the U.S. population has antibodies.
My own estimate of the total American deaths is 900,000 before herd immunity is achieved, in rough agreement with Dr. Osterholm’s estimate of 800,000 — and the longer it takes to get to herd immunity — because of mitigation policies that forestall it, the higher the percentage of the public who will become infected.
I believe that Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx’s strategy to mitigate and shut schools down, really, is seeding the virus in a more homogeneous pattern throughout the United States, which will allow it to flourish at once, everywhere, when the flu season returns.
In fact, it makes the most sense to encourage herd immunity actions now, in the spring and summer when nature will work to lessen the viral load through people being outside more often, hopefully giving their immune systems a better shot at fighting the disease.
What is clear is that the only way that Dr. Birx and Dr. Fauci want to get to herd immunity is via a vaccine.
And depending on a vaccine for herd immunity is a fraught strategy.
There has never been a vaccine for a coronavirus made, let alone distributed or used by anyone.
The four years spent trying to develop the SARS vaccine ended in failure — either because the vaccine was destined to fail to actually prevent infection so research ended or because SARS burnt itself out leaving no reason to continue work on the vaccine. Pick which reason you prefer, as both are in vogue (and both reasons could be true) but the reality is that never has a vaccine been produced in anywhere near both of the times that Dr. Fauci has predicted — first, he said January 2021 and now he is saying summer 2021.
Already, researchers have tracked a new dominant Wuhan virus that has mutated from the classic Wuhan or original Wuhan.
The virus has changed so much that researchers are concerned it will not be stopped by all the vaccines now being tested.
The real problem with the virus changing so much, especially its outer shell is that the vaccines now in people being tested may not work against this new, dominant version of the new, more infectious Wuhan.
In other words, every single vaccine may have to be redesigned to work against this new virus — needless to say, and then testing the redesigned vaccine has to start all over, from square one.
But Dr. Fauci does not mention this — he only changes his timeline for the vaccine that will save us all, from January 2021 to the summer of 2021.
The soonest way to achieve herd immunity is to wind down and lessen the mitigation policies — so the virus will do what it is doing during mitigation, continue to steadily infect everyone possible because the virus is everywhere, it is WIDESCREEN.
Herd immunity will be much safer for the vulnerable, provided they can avoid being infected as herd immunity develops, because they can interact with those who are already immune, so they don’t have to worry about someone being infected and asymptomatic during the five days of incubation after infection.
But the White House Coronavirus Task Force will not even acknowledge or take into account those with immunity now, throwing up a smokescreen of questions that are unrelated to whether someone has antibodies or not — like which antibodies are the ones that confer immunity or how long they last or if those with antibodies are contagious — all of which has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that those with antibodies have been infected and have recovered, and the number with antibodies is the missing numbers you need to compute the mortality rate.
Perhaps the White House Coronavirus Task Force believes they will come under substantial criticism for their extreme measures — such as killing the U.S. economy for a virus with much, much lower mortality rate than the 5.9% found on the various charts on RealClearPolitics.
It is a true national tragedy that the President has allowed Dr. Fauci to dominate U.S. policy and absolutely ignore the millions of Americans with antibodies and the effect of counting them in the mortality rate.
While President Trump says he disagrees with Dr. Fauci’s concerns about re-opening and closing schools in the fall, what does that matter?
It is clear President Trump is not in charge of this issue — and saying he disagrees with Dr. Fauci only shows that Dr. Fauci went public on closing the schools in the fall without consulting President Trump.
That is because Dr. Fauci is setting policy and the pandemic strategy.
If President Trump was setting policy, Dr. Fauci would not be advocating and predicting schools will be closed in the fall, dismissing re-opening and deep-sixing the entire data set of the millions of Americans with antibodies to prevent that data from weakening Dr. Fauci’s public posture of dissing re-opening and undermining Fauci’s drive for schools to be closed in the fall.
Let me be clear, I am not saying there will be no new spike in infections, there will be — opening schools will cause new infections and new deaths, but not among the young, who are the least vulnerable.
But these infections will occur regardless of whether schools open, or states open, since the virus is spreading regardless of lock-down.
It’s a law of nature and how pandemics work.
It is the height of the arrogance of man to think that “mitigation” will defeat a law of nature.
Mitigation is delaying the inevitable — and herd immunity, without a vaccine, is coming whether Fauci and Birx like it or not.
