GOP on itself: “it will be increasingly difficult for Republicans to win another presidential election in the near future.”
It is unclear to me if the Republican Party will ever win another Presidential election, and from what I hear in meetings I attend on Capitol Hill, I have very serious doubts they will ever win another Presidential election.
The WSJ story that cites the GOP’s own report is here.
Apparently, the GOP agrees with this assessment, and has said so publicly.
It is hard to describe the great unease that I feel towards the GOP now.
A friend of mine, who I’ve known for more than 25 years, has diagnosed the problem with the GOP as “they are the party of anger, they are the angry party.”
In a nutshell, the GOP is toast on so many fronts, and I simply do not believe they have the ability to pivot and change as they need to take back the issues the Dems have stolen from them or to re-brand themselves in a manner that is real, true and deep.
If not, great unease that many feel towards the GOP — especially on the issue of race — will become the great exodus.
The fact of the matter is, it is likely already too late.
