Chinese Wuhan Virus can be spread by people who don’t show symptoms, CDC warns
Notwithstanding the repeated statements by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control that there was no evidence of the Wuhan virus being spread by the asymptomatic infection, that conclusion was just publicly announced to be inaccurate.
These changes in fact about the Wuhan virus are typical of an emerging virus situation – comparable to the fog of war.
And you don’t have to be a genius to figure out that this means the quarantine in China has failed and this virus will spread globally.
Dr. Poland of the Mayo Clinic believes the Wuhan virus spread constitutes a pandemic now.
Former Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Scott Gottlieb believes that the next two weeks will be very telling for the United States, as he describes in this CNBC interview and as you can see from his nodding, Gottlieb believes that Dr. Poland is accurate about the pandemic being here now.
Dr. Redfield is from the New York Post:
Redfield said it’s not known how much the asymptomatic cases are contributing to the spread of the virus — which has sickened more than 60,000 people worldwide — but the discovery is concerning.
“What I’ve learned in the last two weeks is that the spectrum of this illness is much broader than was originally presented. There’s much more asymptomatic illness,” he said.
He added that a number of confirmed cases presented with just a “little sore throat.”
